General Privacy Policy
We take the privacy of our customers very seriously. We use the latest security
measures to ensure that our customer
information is safe when transmitted and when in our possession.
We will never share, sell, or rent individual personal information with anyone
without your advance permission or unless
ordered by a court of law. Information submitted to us is only available to
employees managing this information for purposes
of contacting you or sending you emails based on your request for information
and to contracted service providers for
purposes of providing services relating to our communications with you.
We reserve the right to engage a third party service to verify the age and
address information of any customer. We will not
share or sell any information obtained through a third party age and address
verification service. We will NEVER store any
unique personal identifying information such as Social Security or Driver's
License Numbers but we may request the use of
part of those numbers in conjunction with an age and address verification
service.
Email Privacy Policy
If you received a mailing from us, (a) your email address is either listed with
us as someone who has expressly shared this
address for the purpose of receiving information in the future ( opt-in ), or
(b) you have registered or purchased or
otherwise have an existing relationship with us. We respect your time and
attention by controlling the frequency of our
mailings.
We use security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of
data used by our system.
Each email sent contains an easy, automated way for you to cease receiving email
from us, or to change your expressed
interests. If you wish to do this, simply follow the instructions at the end of
any email.
If you have received unwanted, unsolicited email sent via this system or
purporting to be sent via this system, please
forward a copy of that email with your comments to adel@adelswines.com
for review.
General Shipping Information
Orders will typically be confirmed and shipped within three to five business
days of the order. Due to the limited supply of
many of our wines, we treat orders placed through the website and by e-mail as
requests. We will confirm each order by e-mail
and notify you if any item is temporarily or permanently out of stock. If an
item is temporarily out of stock or if it was
offered as a future or pre-arrival we will give our best estimate as to when the
wine will be ready to ship. We try our best
to keep the website updated but cannot guarantee that an item listed will be
available at the time of order.
We reserve the right to hold a shipment if extreme weather conditions might
adversely affect the wine in transit. We prefer
shipping to businesses and using a 3-day or faster service. The buyer may select
ground service, but please be advised that
ground shipments to the Midwest and East Coast commonly arrive after five or
more business days. We are not responsible for
wine damaged due to adverse weather conditions.
Legal Information
All products are sold in California and title passes to the buyer in California.
The buyer is solely responsible for the
shipment of alcoholic beverages. We make no representations concerning your
legal right to ship or receive alcoholic
beverages in any state outside California or any country outside the United
States. By placing any wine order you authorize
us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to
your selected destination. Any order picked up
or shipped to a location in California is subject to sales tax.
We cannot ship to P.O. boxes as common carriers such as UPS, Fedex and DHL can
only deliver to street addresses. The United
States Postal Service cannot deliver alcoholic beverages. We can only ship to
the following states: Alaska, California,
Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana,
Missouri, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Nebraska,
New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, West Virginia and Wyoming. For customers residing in
other states, we recommend that you contact
a third party storage facility in one of the above states to store your wine.
Please also contact your state government
representatives and let them know that you would like to enjoy the same rights
as wine lovers in other states.
We can only sell alcohol to persons 21 years of age or older. By placing an
order that includes alcoholic beverages, the
buyer certifies under penalty of perjury that the buyer and recipient are 21
years of age or older. The willful
misrepresentation of your age or the age of the recipient is a crime in most
states, and if it appears to us or to the
authorities that you have done so, we will cooperate with the authorities to
prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.
Orders including alcoholic beverages cannot be delivered unless an adult is
available to sign for the shipment. We reserve
the right to engage a third party service to verify the age of any buyer or
recipient, but we will never collect sensitive
personal information such as Social Security Numbers. Please read our complete

Returns/Cancellations
By law, we cannot accept a returned product unless it is corked or had another
undetectable flaw prior to shipment. We cannot
accept return of any wine that has been in the possession of the buyer for more
than six months. Wine damaged due to the
weather conditions during shipment cannot be returned. We stock many older wines
and will do our best to notify the buyer -
prior to shipment - if the fill is low, the label is damaged, or if there is any
other cause for concern about the condition
of the wine. As is customary in the wine business, any wine that is more than
ten years old is purchased "as-is" and cannot
be returned for any reason. Confirmed orders that are cancelled by the buyer are
subject to a 10% restocking fee and the cost of freight.
Shipping Rates
We can ship internationally with DHL - please contact us for a price quote. DHL
service is also available for shipments
within the United States. If you need to ship an uncommon number of bottles or
have any special shipping requests, please let
us know. Prices below include shipping materials. Saturday delivery costs an
additional $10 and is available for 2-Day and
Next-Day UPS shipments.
